NGC 908 has been banished by fate to the hinterlands in far southeastern Cetus. You'll find this 10.1 magnitude spiral galaxy 5.5 degrees due east of 4.0 magnitude Upsilon (59) Ceti. The view in my 10-inch Starfinder equatorial is captured in the sketch at left. At 129X, the galaxy covers a 4'x2' area along an east-west axis. A trio of 11th magnitude GSC stars is organized a few arc minutes to the west. A single 12th magnitude star stands just inside the field boundary, 15' to the southeast. Another twelve field stars complete the view. 7.7 magnitude HD 15097 stands outside the field of view, about 47' to the southeast.
